We Got Our First Issue!
Posted on 10. Mar, 2009 by Chris in Homeschool Apple
Earlier tonight, I received an email from Patti in Charlotte. It said:
Hi,
I recently registered for homeschoolapple and wanted to sell some books I no longer need. However, there is an error when I try to open the “Sell” webpage.
Thank you,
Patti
This is simply outstanding. Why would I be excited about a problem being reported? To me it means that you, our wonderful homeschooling community, are helping us to make our application better for everyone. Bravo, Patti!
The issue was caused by some code that tries to make Internet Explorer 6.0 show transparent images like every other browser in the world. Unfortunately, this code also conflicted with something else, and IE didn’t like it.
I am happy to report that the problem has been resolved. And for the most part, the few remaining IE 6 users will be unscathed. Their experience will not be quite the same as those with any of the other standards-based browsers, but it is not far off.
The point of this blog post is not to toot our own horn for resolving the issue, but to let you, our new friends, know that we welcome your comments, issues, and criticisms. Please continue to help us make HSA everything it can be!
Chris

Hello,
I would first like to say, I love, love, love this concept! I noticed your site is for books, will you incorporate other homeschooling items such as apparel or accessories?
Thanks,
Tracy

Hi Tracy,
First, let me say, Thank You! I am glad that you really like the concept. I think your suggestion is fantastic, and we will definitely add that to the features we have in development. Are you an apparel or accessory creator? Or just an interested shopper?
If anyone out there who is an accessory or apparel creator/distributor would like to contact us and tell us what your needs in this area are, we would love to hear them.
Thanks again for this great idea, Tracy!
Chris
